Our mission is to help livestock farmers optimize farm hygiene, eliminating the need for antibiotics while increasing animal health and profitability. We do this by developing knowledge, services, and products to improve hygiene in livestock farms and cooperatives around the world. In countries where he have an office – such as The Netherlands, Germany and France –  we directly deliver to end users. In other countries we cooperate with dealers that deliver our top products to their customers. We are more ambitious than ever and believe we can conquer the world with our vision and products. Therefore we have defined several focus areas where we want to expand our network of dealers and intensify our cooperation with existing dealers. One of our focus areas is Southeast Europe. And that’s where you as Area sales manager can make a difference!

About us

The Schippers Group is a family owned company founded in 1966. It is one of the largest suppliers for intensive livestock farming globally with 14 offices, activities in 40+ countries and more than 500 employees. Today, The Schippers Group encompasses multiple brands all united in their mission to eliminate AMR. The Schippers Group will increasingly focus on international expansion of its brands and customers. By expanding activities on large-scale livestock companies globally, we can significantly decrease the use of antibiotics in livestock farming and provide effective, tailor-made hygiene solutions for livestock farmers that yield healthier animals and higher profits.

What you are going to do:

You are going to focus on commercial development. This means exploring new business opportunities as well as expanding existing distribution channels in the area. In this role you are going to work very independently and develop your own strategy for Southeast Europe. Of course we will give you the necessary support from our back office and your manager will be there to discuss issues and challenges. You’ve got a lot of freedom to develop your own way of working, but we believe the following elements in your work are absolutely necessary to be successful:

  • Develop a Sales strategy based on your vision regarding livestock farming in Southeast Europe.
  • Exploiting and expanding your network in the sector.
  • Detect sales opportunities and build long lasting relationships with our dealers.

What we ask from you:

  • A relevant network in at least one of the countries in Southeast Europe.
  • Knowledge about international business (at higher professional education level)
  • Willingness to travel (both across Southeast Europe and sometimes to our Headquarters in The Netherlands)
  • A sales driven mentality.
  • You are a fluent English speaker. One or multiple languages spoken in Southeast Europe are an advantage.
