Build and scale our Vietnamese entity for long-term success
At MS Schippers, we work on continuously improving animal health through optimal hygiene. Having officially established our local presence in Vietnam in 2022, we are now entering an exciting new era of growth. We are establishing a brand-new office in Ho Chi Minh City, which will serve as our main Vietnam sales office and the strategic Regional Headquarters for Schippers APAC.
To lead this next growth phase, we are looking for a down-to-earth, commercially driven General Manager Vietnam. In this pivotal role, you will bring your deep livestock industry experience and sharp business sense to accelerate our market expansion, elevate our local operations, and build out our new regional headquarters as the springboard for our broader APAC footprint.
What are you going to do?
As the General Manager Vietnam, you will drive our commercial vision and lead our local team and strategic partners toward one clear goal: establishing MS Schippers as the market leader in livestock biosecurity in Vietnam. In this scale-up phase, you will combine strategic leadership with hands-on field presence: getting out into the market, visiting large farmers and integrations, and securing key commercial deals. As the business grows, you will further build and expand your local team.
- Market expansion: Develop and execute a realistic market strategy. Engage with large integrations to introduce MS Schippers and our HyCare concept.
- Sales & partnerships: Secure major commercial deals with large pig and poultry integrations and large-scale livestock producers.
- Team leadership & growth: Lead and coach the existing team. Recruit, train, and manage new sales and support staff as operations expand.
- Operations & logistics: Establish local logistics, warehousing, and operational workflows in close coordination with our Dutch headquarters.
- P&L responsibility: Take full financial responsibility for the Vietnamese entity, including managing budgets, hitting targets, and controlling local operational costs.
What we are looking for?
We are looking for an experienced professional who has earned their stripes in commercial management within the agricultural sector. We are not looking for corporate managers who prefer office desks over farms—we need an entrepreneurial leader who thrives on building relationships both in the boardroom and in the field.
- Sector experience: You have a solid network and deep knowledge of the Vietnamese intensive livestock industry. Experience in pig farming is highly preferred; poultry experience is a strong plus.
- Proven leadership: Substantial experience in a commercial management position with proven P&L responsibility.
- Hands-on mentality: You fit a family-business culture. You are self-motivated, pragmatic, and do not mind getting your boots dirty on farm visits.
- Language skills: Fluent command of English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency or fluency in Vietnamese is a strong advantage.
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
