How did you end up at Schippers?

My father was a dairy farmer, so I was already somewhat familiar with Schippers. That encouraged me to try my luck at Schippers France. When I started, I told myself I might stay for four or five years because of my plans for my own farm. However, I have been working here for nine years now with a great deal of pleasure!

What does a typical day look like for you?

No day is the same! I might start my day with the startup of the MS AutoHoofClean, then train farmers in bovine ultrasound, and finish by supporting farmers with hoof trimming. In between, I call customers, follow up on quotes, and look for ways to improve our protocols.

You spend a lot of time in the car. If we were to look inside your car, what would it tell us about you?

In my car, everything has its place. This is also what I want to project to my customers and how I work: organized and focused. I also always have my music or crime stories playing, which is truly a must for me! 🙂

What is your superpower in your work?

My superpower is that I always want to have the right information before I pass anything on to farmers. If I do not know something, I look it up. That is something my customers really appreciate and it helps in building trust.

The MS Academy helps me enormously with that: it is a goldmine of knowledge! It gives me a lot of satisfaction to keep learning. I combine the courses with practical experience, and those two complement each other perfectly. Of course, it takes time, especially recently with the latest HPB training, but it helps me greatly in my daily work. It allows me to better support farmers during crucial phases of their business.

How did you introduce the MS AutoHoofClean in France?

The introduction of the redesigned MS AutoHoofClean in 2021 marked a new era for us in France. After the learning years starting in 2017, where we worked with farmers to find the most efficient way of working, the arrival of the new mat and the updated products fell much better into place.

Our goal was to install 10 units, and we succeeded because we even sold 12! With the results of our first ambassadors, interest grew even faster. Less Mortellaro and higher milk production ensured that more and more farmers became enthusiastic. Nowadays, dairy farmers even call us themselves to install an MS AutoHoofClean. The journey we have traveled only makes today’s success even more rewarding!

Do you have future plans alongside Schippers?

Yes, on April 1st, 2027, Antoine and I will start our own dairy farm! It is a dream come true. I have achieved my goal of improving my technical skills, but that is certainly not finished yet. At Schippers, I am lucky to be part of a company that is constantly moving and innovative. I have learned an incredible amount in various areas that I had no knowledge of or could not have imagined at the start! My new goal is to achieve the MS Academy’s HyCare Specialist level!
