The beating heart of our ear tag production facility!
At Plastifran, our ear tag factory, we produce over 100 million ear tags annually. From raw plastic granules to ear tags in every shape, size, and color found on livestock worldwide: this is where it all happens.
Injection molding is the first, essential link in our production chain. If the injection molding machines stop, the entire factory eventually grinds to a halt. That is why we aim to keep our machines running at peak performance. We operate on a unique 5-shift schedule — and we could use your expertise to help us succeed.
No experience with injection molding yet? No problem. We will provide all the training you need to become a true expert in the field.
Working in our unique 5-shift system
We utilize a specialized 5-shift rotation that respects calendar weeks and ensures you are off duty 2 out of every 3 weekends. The schedule works as follows:
- Days 1 & 2: Weekend shift (06:00 – 18:00)
- Days 3 to 7: Night shift (22:15 – 06:00)
- Days 8 & 9: Off (Saturday & Sunday)
- Days 10 to 14: Morning shift (06:00 – 14:15)
- Days 15 to 21: Full week off (Monday to Sunday)
What are you going to do?
As an Injection Molding Operator / Machine Setter, you are responsible for the seamless operation of our machinery. Your tasks will include:
- Replenishing raw materials and transporting finished products.
- Setting up machines based on specific order and product requirements.
- Identifying and resolving technical malfunctions and disruptions.
- Conducting quality inspections (visual and tactile).
You work with precision and have a keen eye for quality and process continuity.
What we are looking for?
- A mechanical mindset: You don’t need an extensive technical degree, but you are naturally handy and have a good feel for how machines work.
- Flexibility: You are motivated to work in our 5-shift rotation.
- Proximity: You live within commuting distance of our factory in Hapert.
- Experience: Prior experience with injection molding is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
- Independence: You can work reliably on your own and don’t mind being the only person in the factory at times.
What we offer?
- Salary: A gross monthly salary between €2,550 and €3,750, plus a standard 25% shift allowance.
- Work-life balance: No mandatory return days (with the exception of an annual First Aid/Emergency Response course).
- Hours: You work an average of 34.67 hours per week, but we pay you for 40.
- Training: Intensive 1-on-1 coaching by an experienced specialist (a former instructor at the Mikrocentrum).
- Modern environment: A nice workplace at our brand-new Plastifran production site (located right next to the A67, just a 15-minute drive from Eindhoven).
